Skagit Valley Tulip Festival - Mt. Vernon, WA

Flowers, Flowers & MORE Flowers! Let's tip toe through the tulips together while we enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. This annual festival in April is free to attend (most places or small fee) and worth the trip to this gorgeous destination day trip! Our pick: we "pick" leaving the tulips there to allow others to enjoy the beauty, tip toe carefully and bring a camera!

Lake Wilderness - Maple Valley, WA

A lake, lodge, arboretum, park.... what else could this have to offer? Oh that's right! The perfect photo opportunity, grassy areas, swimming, fresh air, bathrooms, snack bar, lifeguards, fishing, conference rooms, rentable spaces and a community hub hidden off the main road. Our pick: pack up a lunch and take a stroll!

Lake Sawyer - Black Diamond, WA

Visit one of the largest natural lakes in King County! Dive right in swimming, boating, water skiing & fishing. There is public access & boat launch with paid parking and porta-potties - that's right this lake is open to the public. The South end of is where Lake Sawyer Regional Park is located. Nearby is a convenient RV park as well! Bring your friends, family or make new ones there! Enjoy the lake!

Mt. Rainier - WA

How do we sum up such a natural beauty of the PNW? VISIT IT! Prepare your visit, hike trails, enjoy skyline views, wildflowers, visit the largest & oldest trees in the nat'l park! Soak in lakes & waterfalls, scope out the glaciers, walk the suspension bridges, stop to stargaze or spend a night at 1 of the 4 camping spots/2 "Inns". Around town fish, berry pick, dine, horseback ride, visit museums, visit NW Trek wildlife park or the Mt. Rainier scenic railroad! All aboard this Mountain Escape!

This destination has it ALL! Stroll, walk, jog or bike the near mile walk enjoying Commencement Bay or walk Chinese Reconciliation Park to Owen Beach taking in Point Defiance Park. The center features a “grand plaza” with views, playground & spray park, amphitheater for concerts/events! Kayak, Paddle Board, Boat, enjoy water sports or rent bikes for a fun family/friend outing!
